While most of us who live in Oklahoma hope to avoid a direct confrontation with a tornado, Sean Casey, owner of the Tornado Intercept Vehicle (TIV), is hoping for the opposite. The TIV is a seven-and-a-half ton armor plated vehicle that can withstand up to an F3 tornado.
The TIV has a top speed of 60 mph, holds 60 gallons of fuel, and gets around 8 mpg. You may have seen the vehicle on the Discovery Channel program Storm Chasers. We saw it parked on Macarthur today just down the road from where we work; and yes, we quickly checked local weather reports, just in case Sean Casey knew something we didn’t know.

Gotta love that thing – it’s like a cross between the Damnation Alley crawler and that tank thing from the end of Mystery Men. And yeah, I can relate to being a little worried at the sight of a fleet of vehicles that’s obviously a bunch of pro storm chasers.
Will it also withstand zombies?

Poor thing looks like it might have already been in one or two, doesn’t it. If he finds a big one, I wonder if he’ll like flying – upside down? And landing! I believe I’ll stay as far away from a tornado as I can get, or as far below ground as the hole can be dug!

but josh wanna say to you personaly LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE don,t drive in the wrong directions
seen it now 8 times on discovery channel east or west norht or south,always seen you at the wrong place,and if your good the T.I.V. brokes down the radar does,nt work or it is night time and again no footage.
