Tuesday night I found myself stuck between a rock and a hard place, as the saying goes. One of my “customers” (a strange way to refer to one’s wife) needed a couple of servers loaded. Without getting in to too many details, I figured the poodoo was going to hit the fan is these servers weren’t up and running by Wednesday morning.
During the day Tuesday I was able to get one of the servers up and running but not the other. Normally I would have stayed late and finished the other server, but my buddy Tim Dog had offered me a free ticked to the Hornets-Pistons game which I really wanted to go to, so I talked myself into leaving work on time (5pm), going to the game, and then coming back to work and loading the server after that.
After picking up some tacos after the game, I made it back to work just before midnight. The server took a couple of hours to load. I took this picture of the server and myself just before heading back home at 2am.
I took this picture to show how tired I was, and to remind myself that loading servers in the middle of the night is not a good idea.
