I’ve been so busy the last few days that I haven’t had time to add anything to the site. I’m hoping after this week is over, things will slow down.
Tonight, Tuesday, is our niece’s birthday and her party. Wednesday is our last chance for cleaning and preparing for this weekend’s festivities. Thursday night is Linda’s rehearsal dinner. Friday morning, people from Chicago start arriving in town. Friday night’s the big dinner party at my house, Saturday’s the wedding, Saturday night’s the reception party, and Sunday is Susan’s sister’s birthday. I really should take off Monday.
Last Friday, Susan and I went to go see George Carlin. The short version of the story is, 3/4 the way through his show, someone got mad and pulled the fire alarm in the Civic Center. Apparently it was pulled so hard that it could not be reset. While the alarm is going off, power is cut to the stage, so Carlin was left micless. We waited around for half an hour and then finally left. At the beginning of the show, Carlin announced that he was doing this same show on HBO November 5th, so we’ll catch the ending that night. Saturday night, my friend and I went to go see boxing. Good times as well.
Today, during lunch, I picked up a bunch of Halloween stuff at the dollar store. It’s my favorite shopping time of the year.
