Big Green Things

Mason’s daycare is closed all week this week. Since he and I both had the day off yesterday, we went to the movies together for the first time and saw Shrek 2. Mason really liked it, although I probably laughed more during the movie than he did. Mason did pretty good for a 90 minute movie — he only fidgeted the last few minutes. Fortunately, all the fairy tale creatures came together for one final song and dance number that reeled him back in.

In other news, the Rodeo broke down this weekend. A pulley broke which broke the serpentine fan belt which messed up the water pump which blah blah blah cost me about a grand. I’m really not too upset about it, seeing as though we’ve had the car for five years and done basically zero maintenance on it. It’s paid off, so if this keeps it running another five years, it’s all good.
