OVGE 2010

Postby jkrisner » October 17th, 2010, 1:45 pm

I'm not doing a table this year and I won't get there till after 1 due to drum lessons. Anyone else going?

I'll be there with boatloads of stuff to sell, plus the usual PDF DVD goodness. Not sure about display pieces this year - I've got a single table so I may not have the room.

I'll be there, probably after lunch. No table for me this year unfortunately, but I know Earl and some of the other guys will be representing for sure!

I won't be there. However, everybody ought to stop by Earl's table and buy any PDF dvds he has. Top quality stuff.

I'll be there. I'll have my own table, even. I'll be showcasing my video game related knitting projects. I'll have a bunch of non-video gaming knitting stuff too.

I'll have a table this year, will be showcasing Ghostbusters on the Sega Master System, Atari 2600, and (Lord willing) the IBM PCjr (it's being awfully temperamental with my floppy images). Will also be selling a bunch of my duplicate games and a handful of consoles.

Drew, it looks like you and I will be getting to know each other pretty well at OVGE (whether you like it or not) since we'll be sitting next to each other at the show. Here's the layout of the show.

I'll also be sitting next to the OCCC table and so I expect to be very knowledgeable about the Oklahoma Community college scene by day's end.

How lucky -- both of you get to sit by pretty neat people!

If I see a 3-D relief of the Grand Canyon I'll be sure to point you out to the guy so you can enjoy another long talk with him. :P

Doug won't be there, but Akram will be. I'm sure you'll get to hear all about the new GATE expo (OEGE is dead) and all that stuff.

I'm curious, are your knitting projects actual knitting, or is it crochet? My mother was trying to get me to sell a bunch of shawls she crocheted. Told her I wasn't sure how that would fit in at a game expo. I suppose now I should have gone along with it.

I'll be sure to keep the volume low on the Ghostbusters display, I'm sure after about 30 minutes of it repeating they'd probably find me stuffed in a dumpster somewhere.

That's too bad about Doug. I was going to buy that 3D Grand Canyon display.

They moved the Community college display across theroom so I'm spared anything akin to 3D Grand Canyon relief maps.

The show is about an hour old and the crowd is slowly moving in. Maybe 50 people so far. I'm sure it'll get bigger by lunch time.

W00+! Looks nice.

BTW, I read that sentence wrong. I thought it said "My CROTCH got invaded." @_@

On the off chance anyone wants to hear my impressions of OVGE this year, most of them from the perspective of someone perched behind a table all day, I have once more cast my pods into the universe and covered that topic in depth. Along with other topics, as usual. Enjoy!
