Last week I found out that one of my aunts in Chicago has “invasive breast cancer”. My aunt was scheduled to fly down to Oklahoma this year and participate in the OKC Marathon. She, Susan, and a couple of our friends were/are planning on walking the half marathon (13 miles). We do not know if my Aunt will be able to make it to Oklahoma this year to walk the marathon.
So, I’ll be walking it for her/with her.
Currently I can only walk about a mile without getting winded, so I definitely have some training ahead of me. The hardest thing isn’t the walk; it’s the fact that no headphones/mp3s players are allowed. That’s just cruel.
