I live in Yukon, Oklahoma, a smallish city (population 35,000) just west of Oklahoma City. The west side of Oklahoma City (up to I-44) consists of six interstate exits; Yukon has another three. If you are travelling on I-40 through this area and like McDonald’s, you are in luck:
Garth Brooks Blvd: McDonald’s just north of I-40.
Czech Hall Road: McDonald’s on Czech and Main, 5 miles from exit.
Mustang Road: (no McDonald’s)
Morgan Road: McDonald’s (I-40 Truckstop)
Council Road: McDonald’s (Off Reno, 1/4 mile from I-40)
Rockwell: McDonald’s at NW 23rd; 2 miles north of I-40.
MacArthur: McDonald’s just north of I-40. There’s another one on NW39th, 4 miles north of I-40.
Meridian: McDonald’s just north of I-40.
Portland: McDonald’s at 39th and Portland, 4 miles north of I-40.
On the way to work this morning I noticed they were building a McDonald’s right on the Mustang Road I-40 entrance. Apparently the thought of not having a McDonald’s on Mustang Road was keeping Ronald awake at night. God forbid anyone should have to travel more than a mile or two to pick up their McGoodies.

Whereas, on the other hand, count the Sonics within a stone’s throw from my house! I could use a McDonald’s a little closer. I’m getting pretty sick of Sonic Breakfast Burrito for my morning weekend meal!
