Here’s an obligatory “I haven’t updated in a few days” post.
For the past week and a half I’ve been super sick. Yellow snot, green snot, the occasional bloody snot … I’ve pretty much got the market covered on snot colors. Lesser men would have gone to the doctor by now. Wimps.
I spent the past couple of days writing a new program in Visual Basic. It’s a program that will randomly grab MP3’s from a directory and then write them to my USB memory stick in random order using random file names. I’m pretty sure it can be used for any MP3 player that shows up in Windows as a drive letter as well. It’s working pretty good in the lab; now it needs road tested. If it works worth a crap, I’ll post it next week. After trying out a couple of different names (“Jumble Jams” and “Music Mixer”) I settled on “Random Rock” — or, more likely, “rand0m r0ck”. Cuz, you know, it looks all randomy and stuff.
Saturday is Garage Sale Day in Sun Valley. I’m not really looking for anything in particular but I’m sure that won’t stop me from buying something. We have a good time walking around the old neighborhood and seeing old neighbors every year, although each year we notice fewer faces we recognize.
Friday’s my day off. I’m hoping to finish a few unfinished writing projects I have laying around my desktop.
