I’ve been working on the same blog post now for three days. By last night it was up to around 1,000 words. Today I decided it was not salvageable, so I deleted it and decided to move on. Here were the highlights:
– I hated our dog (Tessie).
– The dog barked constantly at our new house.
– The dog could escape at will from our new fence.
– The dog was making me lose my mind.
– We found a new home for the dog.
– Last weekend, we gave the dog to a friend.
– Last weekend, we got a cat from the pound.
– The cat’s name is Dusty.
– The kids like the cat 100x more than they liked the dog.
– Susan likes the cat 1,000x more than she liked the dog.
– I like the cat 5,000x more than I liked the dog.
That pretty much sums it up.
Yay, I knew you guys were really cat people.
Since this is post #4077 on your blog, I hereby decree that whatever hidey hole your cat establishes in your new home shall henceforth be designated C*A*T.
