Tonight Mason’s having a sleepover at granny’s. Morgan went to go visit for a while as well, allowing Susan and I to go out to dinner by ourselves. This happens like, once or twice a year it seems. It not as bad as it sounds, since we have lunch along almost every single day, but dinner just feels different.
We put the diet on hold tonight and went to Sophabella’s Chicago Grill. I had the Chicken Mushroom Marsala and an Irish Coffee which I believe was whiskey, Bailey’s, coffee and whipped creme. Susan had some lasagna variant and a glass of red wine. After dinner we swung by La Baguette for a quick dessert.
Although the house always seems quiet when the kids aren’t here, there’s something nice about an evening without Spongebob, Jimmy Neutron or any of the other Nickelodeon regulars.
