While in Atlanta for work this week I received an invite to a meeting next week in Washington D.C. So … looks like I’ll be driving from here (Atlanta) to there (D.C.) at some point over the weekend. I’ll have to do laundry at some point. I’m out of clean dress shirts.
Susan surprised me yesterday by informing me that she and the kids are driving out to Atlanta for the weekend. It’s been a long and sometimes stressful week, so it will be good — no, great — to see them. Everyone I work with thinks Susan is crazy for driving out here on such short notice. Maybe she is. Maybe that’s why I love her so much.
Atlanta’s a pretty cool place. Lots of good food and restaurants, and somehow I have a ton of friends (both work and otherwise) that have ended up out here — so many that I just haven’t had time to connect with them all on this trip. A couple of friends of mine recently opened a video game store out here. I’m going to try and get some pictures of it this weekend and write a bit about it.
Sometimes two crazies married to each other makes a bond that’s out of this world. That’s you and Susan.
