Yet another busy weekend!

Friday night was my SNU Graduation Reception. I attended Susan’s reception last year, so I already knew what to expect — cheese. Lots and lots of cheese. People standing around in nice clothes, schmoozing, with big plates of cheese. Yellow cheese, orange cheese, white cheese … cubed cheese, sliced cheese, big chunks of cheese for you to carve cheese off of … if you enjoy cheese in any way, shape or form, you should definitely enroll at Southern Nazarene University. Or you could just skip the whole college thing and show up when they start serving cheese; either way. After the cheese fest, the majority of the class shimmied over to Cocina De Mino for some fine Mexican cuisine. In a way it kind of felt like a reunion, which is funny because we’ve only been out of school for two weeks now.

Saturday was Onion Burger Day in El Reno, Oklahoma. Dad and Linda along with Mason, Susan and I drove over and had hot dogs (I know, at an onion burger festival!), pre-sliced caramel apples, and $1.50 Cokes. Car shows always give us a reason to get out of the house and walk around. At some point in time we ran across a clown who, after seeing Mason’s Darth Vader shirt, made him a big black lightsaber.

Sunday, Susan and her sister took their mom to go see the Dale Chihuly Hand-Blown Glass Collection at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art. Somehow I finagled my way out of attending, and instead spent the time driving around with my dad.

Grandma O’Hara arrives in town next Tuesday, and graduation is Saturday. One adventure ends. Time to find another one to begin.
