Over the weekend, Mason got his first skateboard. I’m not exactly sure why he wanted one but he did and so I bought him one. All weekend he’s been practicing his “tricks” (which mostly involve jumping onto or off of the skateboard in the living room on the carpet.
Last night Susan went to dinner with a couple of her friends, so it was up to me to find something for Mason and I to do. I had heard about that new skatepark opening up downtown, so I decided Mason might like to go check it out.
Okay, so apparently the skatepark is outdoors. Didn’t know that. Yesterday afternoon it was like 40 degrees. By the time we had made it from the parking lot to the park, Mason was already shivering. We stood and watched for about two minutes, and by then his little teeth were literally chattering. We decided it might be better to go back on a warmer day. Surprisingly, he agreed.
