The other day a co-worker confirmed something I recently noticed; most of the people my age aren’t online. The more time goes by, the more likely people will take to the Internet. I decided to confirm this theory by searching My Space and sorting people by the year they graduated from Yukon High School, starting with 1991 (the year I graduated). Here were the numbers I came up with.
1991 – 15 people.
1992 – 21 people.
1993 – 25 people.
1994 – 26 people.
1995 – 31 people.
1996 – 57 people.
1997 – 70 people.
1998 – 88 people.
1999 – 83 people.
2000 – 113 people.
2001 – 73 people.
2002 – 98 people.
2003 – 79 people.
2004 – 90 people.
2005 – 105 people.
2006 – 67 people.
Another funny fact: three of the people on my My Space list aren’t people I would really call “friends”, but are in fact children of people I consider friends. If that ain’t enough to make you feel old, heh.
